If Meneka Gandhi was an American bred politician, this movie would never have been possible. You can’t really blame her, a 1 tonne panda being born to a 50 grams Chinese duck has to be punishable by law. Well a praying mantis being one of the most feared kung fu masters is a true leap of creative imagination, at least the house flies assumed their natural role, they got swatted.

The story is a true filmy plot. There is a villain, who is of course dangerous and in a very very bad mood because someone sent him to Tihar jail where he has to eat sookhi roti and dal. He was sent there by his masters because they believed he had a dark heart. HE didn’t have a normal red beating heart, he had a dark heart, so he should have been admitted to an ICU ward. No wonder he was mad. The hero of the film is a Panda who by some blunder gets declared to be the chosen one and be given the unlimited power of the Dragon Scroll. But since he is a panda, he is a blundering fool. He gets trained in the true Rocky style and becomes all powerful. He defeats the villain and everyone lives happily ever after.

This movie is truly awesome for its sheer entertainment and humor value. For example one of the funniest things you see when you read the casting is that Jackie Chan has given the voiceover for a kung fu monkey. There were so many cooler voice overs to do but why a monkey and that too a kung fu monkey. It also has a moral that there is no secret ingredient to life, you only have to believe in yourself. It’s a true tedhi movie with all the masala to make it a lovable one.
